Abstract: The role of emotional intelligence (EI) in vocational education is crucial for preparing students with essential soft skills necessary for workplace success. This study explores the significance of EI in vocational training, focusing on its impact on students' interpersonal relationships, communication skills, and professional development. Objectives include assessing the integration of EI competencies into vocational curricula, evaluating students' perceptions of EI training outcomes, and identifying effective strategies for enhancing EI among vocational learners. A survey research design is chosen to gather data from 250 participants, including vocational students, educators, and EI experts, using purposive sampling to ensure representation across vocational disciplines in Ekiti State. Case studies will highlight vocational institutions known for their comprehensive EI programs, showcasing effective approaches and their impact on student emotional competencies. Findings indicate that EI training improves students' self-awareness, social competence, and adaptability in vocational settings. Recommendations emphasize integrating EI skills development into vocational curricula, providing professional development for educators in EI pedagogy, and fostering a supportive learning environment to enhance students' emotional intelligence and overall vocational readiness.
